“Operor non sitio bibo vinum” is my new motto! If my schoolboy Latin does not desert me it means “You do not have to be thirsty to drink wine”. For the Latin scholars out there – please correct me if you want.
So why do I have this passion for wine? It can be pretty silly, but for me wine is the ultimate expression of what happens when the bounty of mother nature is truly harnessed. Wine expresses the soil, the climate, the harvest, the sweat, the effort, the worry, the anticipation and finally the full gambit of human emotion when that bottle is opened. How can I not LOVE something that embodies this much!
So my friends there it is. This is what you can expect from my blog. I am passionate about wine and I am going to share that passion with you. I want to welcome you into my world and share with you my journey into the world of wine. I will share with you my discoveries, experiences, joys and my disappointments. I just ask you to remember one thing along this journey – wine is always an individual intimate encounter, so understand that what I might enjoy may be the antithesis of what you would appreciate.
